YeYe Weller | Earth Hour Artist Interview

Tell us about yourself?

I'm Yeye Weller from Münster, Germany. I love colors, humor and balance. These are the three necessities for my work. I don’t have a smart message or a device for freedom, my illustrations comes as they are: happy, colorful and stupid.

What’s the title of your art piece?

Heal The World

What’s the meaning/thinking behind your art piece?

I don't have a special meaning behind my illustrations.

I just want to make the observer happy for a while.

It sounds a little bit hackneyed, but that's what it's all about.

Describe your style in 3 words.

Colors, Fun and Irony.

Who's on your playlist while working on this project?

Good question. At the moment I'm really in love with blood orange, so the probability is high, that it was one of his albums.

Where & what will you be doing at this year’s Earth Hour on 28th March 2020?

Sorry, I don't have any exemplary plans for this event.

It is a Saturday, so usually you will find me in a bar drinking with friends.

If you could change one thing in this world, what would it be and why?

Oh my, there are so many things to do. But if I had to choose one I would remove envy from the human beings. Because I think this is the reason for all of the hate in our society. But I'm sure if you gave me a coffee and a cigarette length time I will come up with something much smarter.
