Archie Proudfoot | Earth Hour Artist Interview

Tell us about yourself?

I'm a sign painter and artist who lives and works in London

What’s the title of your art piece?

'Us'

What’s the meaning/thinking behind your art piece?

I wanted to play with using the word 'US' and the image of the hands to imply a collective human responsibility for the planet, which is loosely represented by the circle and the surrounding white on black splatter of space.

Describe your style in 3 words.

bold, typographic, colourful

Who's on your playlist while working on this project?

Big Hard Excellent Fish - 'Imperfect List' (Andrew Weatherall Mix)

Where & what will you be doing at this year’s Earth Hour on 28th March 2020?

Probably self isolating at home in London and hoping the Corona virus hasn't brought the country to its knees.

If you could change one thing in this world, what would it be and why?

No borders - they're the ultimate source of division, false competition, fear and hatred.
